Spain

Program(s)

Widely recognized for tapas, Flamenco, bullfights, beaches and lots of sunshine, Spain is and has been for thousands of years, one of the cultural centers of Europe. Students and interns have the opportunity to live in and explore spectacular cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and Valladolid while learning and practicing Spanish.

Located on the Iberian Peninsula, Spain is the second largest country in Western Europe and bridges the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. The Spanish coast, cultural cities both large and small, geographically diverse interior, and Balnearic and Canary Islands draw visitors by the millions each year.  Annual ferias (festivals), architecture of Gaudí, masterpieces of Goya and Picasso, and world heritage UNESCO sites such as the Alhambra and Alcázar contribute to Spain's status as a premier international destination. The well-developed train and airport systems make traveling to Portugal, France, Morocco and other European destinations simple and accessible.
