IEP adheres to a rolling admissions policy, unless otherwise noted on a particular program. An IEP application and deposit should be submitted 60-90 days before the start date of the program. Specific deadlines may apply to a particular program, please review individual program pages for additional deadline information.
All deposits secure the processing of the application and acceptance onto a program. The deposit comes off the cost of the program. Due to pre-program financial commitments, the deposit is absolutely non-refundable.
Full payment is due 30 days before the start of the program, unless otherwise specified by IEP in writing. If you are using financial aid, the Financial Aid Verification Form is due 30 days prior to the start of the program. Contact an IEP representative to request this form. Please see below for further instructions regarding financial aid.
Check: Please make all checks out to “International Education Programs” or “IEP” and indicate the program or country in the Memo portion of the check.
Debit: Visit www.ecsi.net/gateway/juiep.html to pay with a debit card. You will need to have a routing number and a bank account number with you to pay with a debit card. (This information can be found at the bottom of a check.) A $1 fee will be issued for each debit card transaction.
Credit Card: Visit www.ecsi.net/gateway/juiep.html to pay with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover card. Note: The credit card companies issue a 3.5% fee for each payment.
Cash: Do not mail cash in any amount to IEP. All cash payments must be made in person at our office at Jacksonville University, Gooding 105.
Students who are not paid in full by the program due date must pay an additional $150.00 for every 30 days late. No exceptions. There is a $35.00 fee for all returned checks. Once a check is returned, a money order or cashier’s check may be required to make a payment.
IEP accepts all forms of federal and state financial aid, which includes but is not limited to grants, loans and scholarships. IEP also accepts private scholarship funds when applicable. Students are responsible to obtain permission from the financial aid office on their home campus to apply financial aid to a study abroad program. Students must submit a completed Financial Aid Verification Form at least 30 days prior to the program start date. In the event that the financial aid falls through, the student is responsible to submit a full payment for the program.
If a Student withdraws…
In the unlikely or unfortunate event that a program is cancelled, a student will be refunded 100% of the program cost and deposit.
All other refund issues will be handled case by case and at the sole discretion of IEP.
If a student, parent or advisor requests a total estimated cost for any given program, it is important to realize that the estimation is simply that, an informed guess. The figure of the estimated total costs are based on past participant typical expenditure amounts and the current exchange rate. Some students will spend much less than the estimated cost, some students will spend much more. A good rule of thumb is to ensure that funds are available to a student in the range of the estimated cost.
In the case of any unexpected and significant increases in program costs due to inflation, IEP reserves the right to increase the price of the program until the date that the full payment is due.
