Intern in Thailand

Program Information

Intern and gain excellent personal and practical experience in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  Thailand is a country of natural and cultural wonders, from the mountains in the North to the beaches on the Adaman Sea.  Thailand is known as the "Land of Smiles", and although Thais are often depicted as fun-loving, happy-go-lucky people, they are also strong-minded and have preserved their spirit of independence for centuries.  Chiang Mai, a progressive city coupled with traditional culture, offers various cultural activities.

Interns work within the community and one of our affiliated non-governmental organizations (NGO's), government social programs or a self-initiated project. Projects are determined by community need as well as interns' skills and interests. Interns can expect a mutually beneficial experience as part of real, sustainable development and professional growth.  A designated Project Coordinator guides each intern through the project planning, execution, and conclusion phases of their program.

In addition, interns enjoy a flexible program structure which allows them to gradually increase their level of immersion. Living with a local family, cultural visits and events, and Thai classes enhance immersion in the local culture.  In addition to your own exploring, enjoy trekking into national parks that house various hill tribe communities; exploring ancient temples and traditional markets; and Thai language, cooking, yoga and meditation courses.
