Program Information

Spend a semester in the modern city of Adelaide, a picturesque, progressive city that thrives on the contributions of over 150 ethnic communities.  South Australia has a relaxed and lively culture, particularly in the cosmopolitan capital city of Adelaide which is well known for its annual and biennial sporting and cultural events.  Home to 1.2 million people and as Australia's fifth largest city, Adelaide is located between white sandy beaches and the Mount Lofty Ranges.  Known as the 20-minute city, it takes 20 minutes to get from the city to the hills or beaches.  It's also renowned for its parklands, which ring the city centre and make up 45 per cent of the total city area.

South Australia offers plenty of opportunities for a unique and truly Australian experience beyond the metropolitan area. If you choose to study and live in Adelaide, you will discover that it is the perfect base for exploring Australia’s diverse attractions. Drive just one hour from the city, for example, and you’ll find world-famous wine regions, picturesque coastline, quaint villages, and the majestic Murray River.  Even further afield in the state’s north are the breathtaking Flinders Ranges and outback, covering more than 80 per cent of the state and offering spectacular ancient ranges, open desert spaces, lakes, wildflowers and wildlife, historic towns, and a fascinating Aboriginal and European history.  In the south-east of the state, you can experience the food and wine of the Limestone Coast and take in the region’s prehistoric landscape of volcanic craters, lakes, caves and fascinating underground waterways.

Housing

All students will be housed in student apartments. Located in the hub of Adelaide as well as in suburban locations, they are within close proximity to UniSA campuses and public transport.

  • Self contained and fully furnished
  • 3 bedroom apartment
  • Fully carpeted bedrooms and dining area
  • Kitchen includes: refrigerator, microwave oven, range hood, 2-burner cooktop, cupboards, sink
  • High quality furniture including single beds with headboards and matresses, sofa, TV stand, coffee table, dining table and chairs, desks and desk chairs.
  • Bathrooms have ceramic tiled floors and walls with mirror, vanity unit with sink, towel rack, and shower shelf
  • All apartments are fully wired for telephone, high-speed internet and free to air television
