Make the beautiful and charming riverside city of Limerick your home for a semester, while experiencing the best of Irish culture and academics. Ireland's third largest city, Limerick has both serenity and society and offers residents a vibrant modern style on a medieval foundation. Limerick’s central location in Ireland provides easy access to Dublin and Shannon. On the banks of the River Shannon and at the heart of the expansive National Technological Park, the semester is set on one of the most beautiful and reputable campuses in all of Ireland.
With over 1,000 courses to choose from and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, this dynamic and innovative university provides excellent opportunities for personal and academic development of study abroad students. Students are immersed within the general campus population, allowing for a truly "Irish" experience. Social and cultural activities abound, with over 70 clubs and societies. Field trips are also included to places of historical and literary interest, such as museums and theaters.
In addition to offering strong academic programs to students of various majors, the university grounds and modern facilities allow students to thrive on campus through a student center, bookstore, sports fields, recreational centers, restaurants, music and dance halls. Even the accommodations don't fall short - the wonderful student townhouse "village" provides a great opportunity to mingle with Irish and international students. Pave your own path with a comprehensive and customizable semester program in the charming city of Limerick.
Students will be housed with other Irish and international students at Plassey Village in 4 bedroom apartments. Terraced houses are grouped around landscaped courtyards, which help to create a cozy communal atmosphere. Facilities include fully furnished bedrooms, living room and kitchen areas, central heating, cable television, laundry facilities, internet hookups, maintenance services, and a Resident Manager. Shops are located only 5 minutes walk from the village and a regular bus service to town operates every 20 minutes from a stop directly opposite the village.

"I would not trade my semester in Ireland for anything. It was the best experience in college so far. The people were incredibly friendly and made you feel welcome. I would definitely recommend Ireland for study abroad."
