Spend your summer in one of Europe's most fascinating cities while earning credits towards your Business degree. Join JU faculty this summer as they take the DCOB classes across the pond, to offer JU students Business studies at the Barcelona International College.

The city of Barcelona – The café culture, boutique shops, tapas restaurants, and world-famous nightlife will keep you busy for 6 weeks this summer.

DCOB Business Courses – Satisfy 1 of your Business courses all while studying abroad this upcoming summer!

Great excursions – Not only will you have the chance to visit top sites in and around Barcelona, but specific visits to various Spanish businesses are planned, taking you out of the classroom and into the city!

Curriculum

INB 303: Competing in the Global Environment: This course will enable students to develop a global mindset by focusing on the dynamics of the diverse global business environment.  It will help students understand the interconnection as well as the global integration of economic, socio-cultural and technological forces.  Students will develop the skills necessary to design and implement global strategies, and will learn how to consider the impact of globalization on national and local business markets.  This course will expose students to current theories and practices regarding international competition, and examine how to become more competitive in today's global economy.

In addition to the business course, students will take one Spanish class for the duration of the trip.  Spanish language is offered at all levels from Beginning to Advanced.
