Spend this summer experiencing the rich traditions of music, art, food and architecture that define Austria and Germany. During this two week program explore the European cities of Vienna, Munich, Salzburg, and Innsbruck. Visit sites such as the Nymphenburg Palace, the residence of one of music's most talented composers-Amadeus Mozart, and the famous Imperial Riding School. Course studies include the intriguing history of the Habsburg Dynasty; vast, mysterious and at times scandalous, they were one of the principal dynasties of Europe from the 15th to 20th centuries. Immerse yourself in the delightful European summer; enjoy outdoor eateries, local live music and the majestic views of the Alps, while gaining valuable knowledge and building once in a lifetime relationships.
Walk in the footsteps of the Habsburg's - explore the history, culture, glory and grandeur of the German-Austrian empire as well as the scandals and imperial works of architecture. Students will explore the alleyways and Golden Roof of Innsbruck to the medieval torture chambers of castles in Salzburg and the Imperial Palaces of Vienna and the famous Imperial Riding School and Lippizanner Horses.
