Travel to the Holy Land this December and spend 2 weeks marveling at the Pyramids in Egypt and the culture of Jerusalem.
At the end of this fall course students will travel to Israel and Egypt for a 2 week course in Sociology. This trip will take you by the pyramids of Egypt, travel along the path taken by Moses, visit the site where John the Baptist is purpoted to have baptized Jesus, visit the town of Nazareth, visit the mountaintop fortress of Masada built by Herod and travel to Jerusalam.
Winter Break Program – This is the only JU winter break program. Students will receive 3 credits this fall in Sociology and then travel to Israel and Egypt after finals. This is a unique way to spend your holidays this season and receive JU credit for the experience!

Holiday Sight-Seeing – This program takes students abroad with JU faculty and students, allowing you to be in a group setting while experiencing these fascinating destinations. Enjoy the views of the famed Pyramids or walk the streets of Jerusalem this holiday season.
SOC 400. Religious Cultures of Israel and Egypt
This is an experiential course on the religious cultures of Israel and Egypt. Students will learn about the region, some of its history and famous sites, and the similarities and differences between Judaism, Islam, and Christianity.
