Intern in London

Program Information

Gain practical and international experience this summer in the cultural and financial hub of London.  Internships are available in a variety of fields and provide interns a direct insight into British work and society.  Participants of this program come away with rewarding intercultural interactions, personal and professional growth, and an enhanced practical skill set that benefits them for years after.  All you have to do is apply, pack and fly to enjoy a most rewarding summer!

Placements are customized around each student's academic background, any relevant work experience, and career goals.  Interns can expect to work full-time (about 40 hours/week) and report to a supervisor who will act as a mentor to both work and non-work related topics.  On-site coordinators and fellow interns also provide excellent resources and a friendly support network.  Weekends are free and can be spent exploring the vast city of London, visiting neighboring cities, or hopping around Europe.

While living in London, watch the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, take a ride on the London Eye for a spectacular view, see Big Ben and Abbey Road for the first time in person, or grab a friend and jump into the hopping music and club scene downtown. Practice your (British) English and enjoy the sites and sounds at the local eateries and gathering places.  Regardless of your style or personality, London has something for everyone and boredom is not an option!

Housing

Accommodation will be provided in shared apartments in the prestigious neighborhood of the Royal borough of Kensington and Chelsea as well as a large student complex in King's Cross. Apartments are complete with a living room, kitchen and bathroom facilities.
