Interns in Italy experience a European working environment in a charming, historical city. This program is dedicated to providing an enriching and enlightening experience as interns achieve international work experience in Florence. The abundance of internship opportunities in Florence range from International Business and Public Relations to Culinary Arts and Fashion Design. While engaging in Italian procedures on a daily basis, interns will also discover the beauty of and gain appreciation for Florentine culture.
Florence sits in the center of the beautiful Tuscany region and is known as Birthplace of the Italian Renaissance. Historically, the powerful, wealthy and art-obsessed Medici family heavily influenced Florence to become a center of high culture, fashion and the arts. Today, interns and visitors alike enjoy the art, architecture, history, literature, and cuisine, which is readily available in the many museums, squares, cafes and markets in this Italian city.
The unique internship program combines intensive Italian language studies with a practical customized internship to assure interns come away with a drastically improved skill set. Internship fields range from art to sports and are sure to give interns an insider perspective into the Italian and Florentine workplace and society. Additionally, the central location of Florence makes Rome, Venice, Pisa and Milan just a train ride away!
Accommodation will be provided in shared apartments in Florence. (Shared rooms are same gender only) Single rooms are available for an additional fee upon request. All housing is fully furnished and students share with other international students. Students will have access to kitchen facilities and all apartments are furnished with basic household necessities (sheets, cooking utensils, etc). However, they will need to provide their own towels. All housing is within walking distance to the school facilities. The apartments are modest, clean, and suit students’ needs very well. However, we cannot guarantee any one standard of housing, so please understand that each student’s situation may differ.
